• The PFERD 80 T 350-3,0 L SG CHOP HD STEELOX cut-off wheel is designed for cutting carbon steel and stainless steel (INOX) on 350 mm chop saws. The label states STEEL+INOX: one wheel covers both materials.
• The wheel contains fillers with a very low content of iron (Fe), chlorine (Cl) and sulphur (S). As a result, it does not contaminate stainless steel after processing. This makes it suitable for stainless steel workshops with strict corrosion-resistance requirements.

5. Typical applications and usage notes

5.1 Applications

• Cutting stainless steel tube, bar and profiles in stainless steel fabrication shops.
• Series cutting of blanks in steel structure, fabrication and plant maintenance workshops.

5.2 Usage notes

• Use only on machines rated no higher than 4,400 r/min.
• Never mount the wheel on a machine whose speed exceeds the maximum speed on the label – for example, do not fit a larger wheel on a smaller machine.
• Always use the machine's wheel guard. Wear eye or face protection, a dust mask, ear protection and gloves, as shown by the pictograms on the label.
• Do not use the cut-off wheel for grinding and do not apply side pressure. Cut straight, without tilting the wheel in the cut.
• Clamp the workpiece firmly in the chop saw vice before cutting; let the wheel do the work without excessive pressure.
• Before mounting, check that the wheel is free of cracks and chips, and is not damp or oily. Run it without load for about 30 seconds.
• Store in a dry place. Use the wheel before the expiry date stamped on the metal ring at the bore (EXP marking).
