Grease

Using the right lubricant in the right quantity affects bearing life more than any other factor. This group covers lubricating greases and lubrication equipment.

In stock:

• Automatic lubricators — TLRD and TLSD series. Mounted directly on the lubrication point, they dispense grease evenly at the set interval with no manual greasing.
• LINCOLN centralised lubrication systems — supply grease to many points from one pump station, for production lines and large machines.
• Fittings and accessories for grease lines.

Some principles for choosing SKF grease:

• LGMT 2 / LGMT 3 — general-purpose lithium-based grease for normal temperature ranges. Suits most industrial applications.
• LGEP 2 — with extreme-pressure additives, for heavy and shock loads.
• LGHP 2 — high temperature, long service life.

Common warning: over-greasing makes bearings run hot and fail just as fast as under-greasing. Do not mix two greases with different soap thickeners — they can react, turning the grease runny and ineffective.

Terminology: in Vietnamese, bearings are called vòng bi, bạc đạn or ổ bi — all the same product. DAVITA uses "vòng bi" consistently on its Vietnamese pages.
